California permit CAL-T 0191363
Licensed, Insured, and Our Own Crews
Check us the way you should check any mover: license, insurance, reviews, and who shows up on move day.
How to check any mover, including us
Every company that moves household goods in California needs a permit from the Bureau of Household Goods and Services. Ours is CAL-T 0191363. Look it up on the state's household mover search before you book anyone. If a company can't give you a permit number, keep looking.
Our own crew, in our own truck
Some companies that show up in search results take your booking and pass the job to someone else. When you book Joshua's Moving, our own moving crew does your move, and it arrives in one of our own branded box trucks. We have been moving Bay Area customers from East Palo Alto since 2013.
California moves only
We move homes and businesses within California, including long-distance moves inside the state. We do not take out-of-state moves, and we will tell you that on the first call.
Insurance, with a certificate for your building
These are the limits on our current certificate of insurance. Building managers often ask for one before move day. Ask when you book and we will send it, including additional-insured or building-specific certificates.
| Coverage | Limit |
|---|---|
| Commercial general liability | $2,000,000 each occurrence, $3,000,000 general aggregate |
| Automobile liability | $1,000,000 combined single limit |
| Umbrella liability | $3,000,000 each occurrence, $3,000,000 aggregate |
| Workers' compensation and employers' liability | Statutory, employers' liability $1,000,000 each accident |
| Motor truck cargo | $100,000 |
Reviews you can read first
We have more than 1,500 reviews across Google and Yelp. Read them before you call: Google, Yelp, and our Better Business Bureau profile.
How our quotes work
We review your home in person or by video so the estimate reflects your actual move: volume, stairs, elevators, parking, and specialty items. Smaller moves are usually quoted hourly. Larger moves can get a flat rate, so you know the total before moving day. See how estimates work or request one online.
